This one's going to take a while to finish as I don't have as much time on my hands lately. I wish I thought of these things in advanced instead of getting my ideas the day of...
Edit 1: not that major an update. I wanted to start lining Asami, but I'm still kinda impatient with lineart so I switched to coloring Mako to procrastinate. But I HAVE to lineart her and Bo in order to get to the part I really want to paint--their backgrounds!
Edit 2: Asami's Hair. Allll Asami's hair today.
Edit 3: I don't have the time I'd like. I only got the beginning of the helm's steering in place. And her left arm. Sad times.
Edit 4: Asami's main lineart is now complete. Whew. That hair and blouse was killer.
Edit 5: And Asami's base color is compleeeete! I'm rather pleased with her so far. Bolin's turn at last! I'm determined to do him justice. We're goin' make it, Bo!
Edit 6: Began Bo's lineart. Only his head and neck are "done" though, so ignore the sloppy lines behind the curtain for now.
Edit 7: Bolin's line art is complete, and as you can see I got his background painted in. Next will be his base coloring--along with finishing Korra's--and then I'll finally get to start on the lightning. This should be fun with the different skies.
Edit 8: Bo's base color done. Still have to finish Korra's, but then shading etc will follow.
Edit 9: Beginning of lighting. Asami's the closest to the final look, so far. Mako and Bolin have a lot more work to be done. And Korra. I haven't really started on her.
Edit 10: For the time being, I'm calling it. Got basic lighting and shading in all four panels and that's good enough for me, yo (ho ho).
Woah-that's awesome! I'm doing pirate themes for all of my girl OCs from the book series I'm writing! (Or at least, most of them...don't tell anyone, but there's a hidden character no one's gonna know about 'till the end of the first book.)
Not quite, actually! I'm gonna light them all up to match their settings. Asami's gonna have some strong backlighting, for example, and Mako needs to have he sunset all over him etc. So just hold your horses a bit longer.
